DANTES is a U.S. Department of Defense agency that supports the U.S. military’s retention and transition efforts by providing nontraditional, flexible education opportunities to all service members worldwide (active, reserve, and veterans) and their families, as well as Department of Defense personnel.
The U.S. military partners with Kuder to operate a customized online portal through which all U.S. military bases can access tools to support their degree planning and career development within the military, or transitioning to the civilian workforce.
“With Kuder Journey, service members can develop a college and career plan tailored to their needs and interests to help make life’s journey easier and more rewarding.”

DANTES Program Manager
Our career planning system for adults enables service members to tailor their job decision-making around who they are now, not necessarily what they’ve done previously. The system delivers a “one-stop-shop” with options to create resumes, apply for financial aid, search for jobs, and develop an electronic portfolio.
Kuder developed features to enable service members to search for occupations by military occupation specialty; learn about the GI Bill of Rights; and access links to military transition centers, military-specific transitional job services sites, and military-friendly employers. Kuder also developed a database for military education centers to administer program management and generate custom reports.

Our internationally certified professional development course enables DANTES program staff to gain career development competencies to deliver high-quality career interventions. The course covers a broad set of competencies including career development theories, models, and techniques; career assessment interpretation, labor market and occupational trends, and code of ethics.
